TRANSPORTATION

The $5.6B Maryland-National Capital Purple Line project represents the largest public contract ever awarded in the State of Maryland. The 16-mile, 21 station light rail line aims to provide a long-anticipated east-west connection between the Washington DC suburbs of Bethesda in Montgomery County to New
Carollton in Prince George’s County, MD.

The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project – Silver Line is a nearly $1.2 billion project intended to create a new Metrorail line originating at Wiehle Avenue in Fairfax County, Virginia, and extending northwest through Washington Dulles International Airport to Route 772 in Loudoun County, Virginia. The design and construction of all rail line, stations, and systems are included as part of the project.
The project is the largest of three design-build packages that will complete Phase II of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project. The completed Silver Line will provide convenient rail access from the District of Columbia to both Washington Dulles International Airport and the surrounding counties in Northeastern Virginia.
